Bruichladdich 18 And 30 Year Old Launches

Bruichladdich has introduced its inaugural additions to its permanent high-age statement whisky range, unveiling The Bruichladdich Eighteen and The Bruichladdich Thirty. Crafted entirely on Islay, from conception to bottling, these single malts embody the distillery’s pioneering heritage and commitment to innovation.

Breaking away from traditional luxury, these premium releases feature sustainable outer packaging—a collaboration with Thirst and James Cropper. Made from fully recyclable paper pulp and custom-molded to fit the glass bottle, this eco-friendly design sets a new standard for sustainable packaging in the spirits industry.

The Bruichladdich Eighteen represents a significant milestone as the distillery’s first permanent 18 Year Old single malt. It showcases Bruichladdich’s emphasis on terroir, with every element fully traceable, from harvest to cask. Bottled at 50% ABV, it offers a rich bouquet of honey and citrus, reflecting the brand’s renowned unpeated house style.

Meanwhile, The Bruichladdich Thirty tells the story of the distillery’s revival, matured exclusively in rare ex-Bourbon casks. Bottled at 43.2%, it features notes of toasted oak and honey, with a delicate influence of sea air—a testament to its complete maturation on Islay.

Both expressions are presented in the brand’s new sustainable decanter-style bottle, developed in collaboration with Thirst, reflecting Bruichladdich’s commitment to sustainability. The Bruichladdich Eighteen is priced at £150, while The Bruichladdich Thirty is priced at £1,500, available on the Bruichladdich website and select online whisky shops.
